Arkansas Tech University has boldly envisioned a new recreation center and student union building and a unifying plaza at the crossroads of campus. This site is a central location slated to be a hub of student life and a landmark building for the university. In collaboration with Miller Boskus Lack & SmithGroup, Ground Control is working with Arkansas Tech University to transform the center of the campus from a series of roads and parking lots into a pedestrian-oriented plaza and landscape that promotes outdoor learning, wellness, gathering and recreation. Mullens Plaza will be a vibrant meeting place that supports the program of the university while reinforcing the landscape ecology of the Arkansas Valley.
